Terms, Privacy & Trademark
Last updated: May 2026. These documents govern your use of Hopfare™. Please read them carefully.
Trademark Notice
Hopfare™ is an unregistered trademark of its owner, operated from Austin, Texas, United States. The ™ symbol indicates a claim of common-law trademark rights in the name Hopfare and the associated logo mark (the stylised "H" emblem).
Common-law trademark rights arise from actual use of a mark in commerce and do not require federal registration, though registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is being pursued. These rights are enforceable under federal and state law.
You may not use the name Hopfare, the Hopfare logo, or any confusingly similar mark in any way that:
- Implies affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship by Hopfare without express written permission;
- Could mislead consumers about the source, origin, or quality of goods or services;
- Constitutes trademark infringement, passing off, or unfair competition under applicable law;
- Is used in domain names, social media handles, or app store listings without written authorisation.
Legitimate nominative fair use — such as referring to Hopfare by name in editorial, journalistic, or comparative contexts — is permitted provided the use is accurate, not misleading, and does not suggest endorsement.
To request permission to use the Hopfare trademark, contact us at the address listed in the Contact section below.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using hopfare.co (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Description of service
Hopfare™ is a flight price comparison and metasearch engine. We aggregate and display fare information sourced from third-party booking partners and airline data feeds. We do not sell, issue, hold, or fulfil flight tickets. All bookings are made directly with airlines or online travel agencies; Hopfare is not a party to any booking contract.
3. Accuracy of information
Fare data is retrieved in real time from third-party sources and changes continuously. Hopfare makes no guarantee that any fare displayed is currently available or will remain available at the stated price. Always verify the final price on the partner booking page before completing a purchase.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, copy, or index content from the Site without express written consent;
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute flight price data obtained from the Site for commercial purposes;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Site's infrastructure;
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Frame or mirror any part of the Site without prior written authorisation.
5. Third-party links and services
The Site contains links to third-party websites and booking platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. Hopfare has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site. Your use of third-party sites is governed by their own terms and policies.
6. Modifications to the service
Hopfare reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Privacy Policy
Information we collect
Information you provide voluntarily: If you sign up for fare-drop alerts, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you alerts you have requested and to communicate service-related information.
Information stored locally on your device: We store your preferences (home airport, language, currency, colour theme) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Information collected automatically: We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics platform that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Aggregate, anonymised data (page views, country, device type) is collected to help us improve the Site.
Advertising: We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
How we use your information
- To send fare-drop alerts you have subscribed to;
- To improve Site performance and user experience (via aggregated analytics);
- To serve relevant advertisements (via Google AdSense).
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers (Vercel for hosting and analytics, Google for advertising) solely to the extent necessary to operate the Site.
Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe: Every fare-alert email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also contact us to remove your email at any time.
- Delete local preferences: Clear your browser's localStorage (browser Settings → Privacy → Clear site data) to erase all locally stored preferences.
- EU/UK residents: You have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- California residents: Under CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
Email addresses for fare alerts are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregated form.
Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Affiliate Disclosure
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions, Hopfare discloses the following:
Hopfare participates in affiliate and referral programmes operated by flight booking partners including, but not limited to, Travelpayouts, Aviasales, and various airlines. When you click a booking link on Hopfare and subsequently complete a purchase, we may receive a commission or referral fee from the booking partner. This fee is paid by the partner and does not increase the price you pay.
The existence of these commercial relationships does not influence which fares are displayed, the order in which results appear, or our editorial content. Results are sorted strictly by price. Hopfare's reviews, comparisons, and recommendations represent our honest assessment based on publicly available data.
Disclaimer
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOPFARE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Hopfare is not a licensed travel agent, airline, or online travel agency. We are not responsible for:
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of fare data displayed on the Site;
- Any price changes, fare unavailability, or booking errors occurring on third-party partner sites;
- Any losses, damages, or additional costs arising from bookings made through partner sites;
- Flight cancellations, delays, or schedule changes by airlines;
- The practices, policies, or terms of any third-party booking partner.
Split-ticket bookings carry additional risk. When you book outbound and return flights separately (split tickets), the two bookings are independent contracts. If your outbound flight is delayed or cancelled and you miss your return flight, the return airline has no obligation to rebook you without charge. We clearly label split-ticket results so you can make an informed decision.
IN NO EVENT SHALL HOPFARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100.
